Hood piercings are the most common female genital piercing found. They are fairly quick and painless and also heal very quickly. They are either performed vertically, with a barbell, or sometimes horizontally with a ring.

The very deep female piercing. It is placed above the eurethra, just below the clitoris. It goes up the clitoral shaft and rests at the hood.
This is a very rare piercing and there is a chance of nerve damage because of its placement and the clitoral shaft.
